Introducing O3O Office: a Vietnamese-first office suite with Write, Sheet, Slide and PDF
O3O Office launches its first release for 64-bit Windows with four apps: O3O Write for documents, O3O Sheet for spreadsheets, O3O Slide for presentations and O3O PDF for viewing and editing PDF files. The Vietnamese interface is on from the very first launch, and commands are organized in a tabbed ribbon that will feel familiar to anyone coming from Microsoft Office. This release laid the foundation for the product line now known as MORA Office.
New features 5
GeneralFour office apps in one installer
A single installation gives you O3O Write for documents (.docx), O3O Sheet for spreadsheets (.xlsx), O3O Slide for presentations (.pptx) and O3O PDF for PDF files. Each app shows its own name in the title bar (for example “O3O Write”) and has its own accent color, so you can tell windows apart at a glance.
GeneralVietnamese interface by default
The interface language defaults to Vietnamese: menus, ribbon tabs and dialogs appear in Vietnamese from the first launch, with no language settings to hunt for.
GeneralTabbed ribbon enabled out of the box
All four apps use a tabbed ribbon instead of classic menus and toolbars. Commands are grouped by tab just as in Microsoft Office, so switching over doesn’t mean relearning everything.
GeneralFonts compatible with Microsoft Office documents
Ships with metric-compatible alternatives to Calibri and Cambria, so documents created in Word keep their layout and page breaks even on computers without the original fonts.
GeneralO3O brand identity
The splash screen, About dialog, Start screen logo, app and file-type icons on Windows, and installer artwork all follow the O3O visual identity.
Improvements 2
GeneralOnline help at office.o3o.vn
Every link in the Help menu points to office.o3o.vn. Clicking Help opens the online guide directly, with no prompt to install a separate help package.
GeneralCleaner startup with no unnecessary dialogs
The Tip of the Day and What’s New dialogs that used to appear on every launch are turned off, so you go straight to your document.
