New interface, wave 4: dark mode, digital ink, Scale to Fit in Sheet and presentation display selection
MORA Office 26.10.3 completes another wave of the new interface: a dark mode tinted with each app's own color, a refreshed Start screen, a lighter document tab strip, a new header and footer gallery, larger ribbon buttons and 37 new icons. MORA Doc, Slide and PDF gain a digital ink toolkit (Pen, Eraser, Hide Ink); MORA Sheet adds Scale to Fit controls and Theme Effects; and MORA Slide lets you choose the presentation display right from the ribbon. This release also fixes text that failed to appear on screen after installing over an earlier version.
New features 6
SheetScale to Fit: Width, Height and Scale
The Page Layout › Scale to Fit (Vừa trang) group now has three controls: Width and Height (Automatic, 1 to 9 pages, or More Pages... to enter any other number) plus Scale from 10% to 400%. Once you set a page count for width or height, Scale is dimmed because the app calculates it for you. The controls always reflect the settings of the active sheet, so fitting a spreadsheet onto paper for printing takes a single choice.
SheetTheme Effects for shapes
The Page Layout › Themes › Effects ▾ button offers three levels, Flat, Subtle and Raised, matching MORA Doc and MORA Slide. Shadow effects apply only to shapes, never to pictures, charts or embedded objects, and the whole change can be undone in one step. The Spreadsheet Theme command has moved into the Themes button menu for a tidier ribbon.
GeneralInk pen on the Draw and Review tabs
The Pen button on the Draw and Review tabs in MORA Doc, Slide and PDF now draws digital ink strokes that are preserved when saving to .docx, .pptx, .odt, .odp and .odg. Pen strokes made during a slide show are also treated as ink if you choose to keep them when the show ends. Regular freeform lines under Insert › Shapes remain ordinary shapes and are kept separate from ink.
GeneralInk eraser
An Eraser button sits next to the Pen on the Draw tab (Doc, Slide, PDF) and under the Pen in Review › Comments (Doc, PDF). Click or drag across ink strokes to erase them; each drag is a single undo step. Press Esc, click Eraser again or pick another tool to exit. The eraser does not remove ink inside protected content.
GeneralHide ink while editing
Review › Ink › Hide Ink (Doc, Slide, PDF) temporarily hides all ink strokes in the editing view so you can read the content without distraction. It affects only the screen: printouts, PDF exports, slide shows and previews still include all ink. Hiding ink does not mark the document as modified and applies to every open window of the same document.
SlideChoose the presentation display from the ribbon
The Slide Show › Monitors group has a Monitor: [Automatic ▾] box listing Automatic, each individual display (Monitor 1, 2… with the primary display marked) and All Monitors. The list updates automatically as displays are connected or disconnected. Next to it, the Use Presenter View checkbox helps presenters get the projector ready quickly before a meeting.
Improvements 7
GeneralDark mode in each app's own color
In dark mode, accent colors, toggles, active buttons and the status bar now carry the signature color of MORA Doc, Sheet, Slide or PDF, so you can tell at a glance which app you are working in. Ribbon group separators are softer on the eyes, and selection colors keep a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 so text always stays readable.
GeneralA cleaner Start screen
The Search documents box on the Start screen now has rounded corners, a thin border and a magnifier icon on the left. The New tiles have been re-spaced for a more balanced look on 1280-pixel-wide screens.
GeneralA lighter document tab strip
Separators between inactive document tabs are now lighter, making the active tab stand out more clearly when you work with many documents at once.
DocNew Header and Footer gallery
The Insert › Header & Footer › Header / Footer menus show each template as a tile with its name and a preview. Tiles highlight on hover and click, show a clear focus frame when navigating with the keyboard, and display correctly in dark mode.
GeneralMore large, easy-to-click ribbon buttons
MORA Doc: Design › Page Background becomes three large buttons, References gets large, clearly labeled buttons, the Draw tab adds Background Format ▾, and the Review tab adds the Pen. MORA Sheet: Sparklines becomes three large buttons, What-If Analysis ▾ and Forecast Sheet become large buttons, and the window buttons on the View tab now have labels. MORA PDF: a new Bookmark button on the Insert tab, a menu on the Video button, and the Pen on the Review tab. On 1280-pixel-wide screens, no ribbon group collapses in any of the four apps.
General37 new ribbon icons, and color buttons that show the current color
37 new icons across all four apps: font color, highlight, shading, the Sheet Home, Data and Formulas tabs, Slide views and animations, PDF forms and views, hide/unhide window, background format, eraser and hide ink. Color buttons (Font Color, Highlight, Shading, Fill Color) now repaint the color bar, pen nib or paint drop on the icon in the currently selected color, so you can see at a glance what will be applied.
SlideDelete All Comments moved into the Delete menu
In MORA Slide, Delete All Comments now lives in the ▾ menu of the Delete button on the Review tab, freeing up room so every ribbon group fits on a 1280-pixel-wide screen.
Fixes 8
WindowsText not appearing on screen after installing over an earlier version
Previously, installing MORA Office without restarting on a computer that already had the bundled fonts, from an earlier version or another office suite, could overwrite fonts Windows was using. Text in some fonts (document headings, text in PDF files, thumbnails on the Start screen) then stayed invisible until you signed out or restarted. The installer now leaves identical font files in place, so text displays normally right after installation.
SlideFreehand strokes no longer lost when saving to .pptx
Freehand drawing strokes used to be dropped when saving to .pptx. They are now saved in full and reopen exactly as drawn.
SheetScale to Fit applies a value only when you choose it
Previously, using the arrow keys or mouse wheel on the Width/Height boxes applied every intermediate value (one undo step each) and could accidentally open the More Pages dialog. Values are now applied only when you pick one with the mouse or press Enter, Esc restores the previous value, and a pending choice always stays with the sheet it was made on.
SheetScale to Fit updates when the page style changes
The Width, Height and Scale boxes now refresh immediately when you apply a page style from the Styles pane, undo or redo, or delete the page style in use, instead of showing outdated values.
SheetScale to Fit works with accessibility tools
Selections made in the Width/Height lists by screen readers and other assistive technologies are now applied exactly as if chosen with the mouse.
GeneralSeveral Eraser and Hide Ink refinements
The eraser now removes ink in MORA Doc headers and footers; the text cursor reappears after leaving eraser mode; and an interrupted eraser drag (where the mouse release is lost) no longer muddles the undo history. When Hide Ink is turned on, ink selected in another window of the same document is deselected as well.
DocChange Source button shows the correct label
The References › Change Source button sometimes displayed a technical string instead of its label. Ribbon buttons with menus now always keep their proper labels.
GeneralSwitching Light/Dark no longer hides the MORA AI button
After clicking the Light/Dark button in the title bar, the font name and size boxes on the ribbon widened and pushed the Add-ins group (which holds the MORA AI button) into its collapsed state. These boxes now keep their width, so the ribbon stays stable when you switch themes.
