Notes for each MORA Office version and the timeline of the technology MORA Office inherits, from StarOffice in 1985 to today.

Version 26.8.10 — 2 October 2026

  • New MORA interface in all four apps: the ribbon, title bar (Search box, AutoSave, Quick Access Toolbar) and icon set follow the MORA design in light and dark modes; the File tab is a regular ribbon tab; the contextual tabs that appear when you select a table, picture, drawing, form or 3D object also follow the MORA design; button labels are shorter and consistent; in narrow windows (1366 px laptops) the ribbon collapses less-used groups and shrinks galleries while keeping the main commands.
  • The ad countdown at document start-up is gone: without a license MORA Office keeps all features and shows a purchase reminder with current prices once per session, which can be closed immediately.
  • Sheet: dragging on row and column headers now selects like Excel; hold Alt while dragging to move rows or columns. Moving never loses data — if a step cannot be done, everything is undone and the reason is shown.
  • PDF: Ctrl+S on an opened PDF asks “Save PDF” (overwrite with the edited version) or “Save as Drawing (.odg)” instead of jumping straight to saving .odg.
  • PDF: re-exporting keeps each page's landscape or portrait size; scanned PDFs with an OCR text layer no longer show text over the image.
  • Sheet: formulas are recalculated when opening .xlsx files, as in Excel; the number-to-words function reads Vietnamese numbers correctly.
  • Upgrading no longer loses .docx, .xlsx and .pptx file associations; machines that lost them get them back with this release. On machines with LibreOffice, MORA no longer takes over LibreOffice's associations.
  • Spell checking accepts Vietnamese pasted from the web, PDFs or older input methods (decomposed accents) instead of flagging every word.
  • Documents using Arial Narrow or Cambria show, print and export Vietnamese accents correctly when those fonts are missing.
  • Slide shows display the navigation bar (back, forward, menu with pen) for touch screens; the Start Center “Drawings / PDF” filter includes recent PDF files.
  • Check for Updates dialog: the Pause, Resume and Cancel buttons respond to the mouse.
  • PDF export from macros or the API no longer includes internal comments unless requested.
  • New defaults: Coral Red font colour and Light Gold highlight (colours you already picked are kept); Print on the Quick Access Toolbar; a leaner status bar (page style, master page, scale and selection mode removed). New user profiles also start with the ruler and Sidebar hidden (turn them back on in the View tab); existing users keep their ruler and Sidebar.
  • Nearly 1,900 translation fixes (visible ~ marks, missing parameters, terminology, duplicate labels) and consistent spelling of “Xoá”.
  • Get more extensions links to the MORA catalogue; fixed several cases of the application closing when a document is closed.

Version 26.8.9 — 26 September 2026

  • Fixes the application closing by itself about 30 seconds after start. Releases 26.8.x downloaded updates in the background and crashed, losing unsaved work; installing this release ends it.
  • The installer now ships Vietnamese and English spelling dictionaries. Vietnamese is checked by default; enable English in Tools ▸ Options ▸ Language Settings ▸ Writing Aids.
  • Fixed mislabelled commands that were easy to hit by mistake: Reject All Changes (previously “Select All”), Delete Table, Delete Sheet, Insert Image and statistical function names in Sheet.
  • The Vietnamese autocorrect table no longer replaces correct words with different ones; TTg, TTr and TPhcm are kept as written.
  • New documents save straight to .docx, .xlsx and .pptx without asking about the format.
  • Inserted images are anchored “As character”, as in Word, so the cursor can be placed next to them.
  • Sheet: cell AutoInput is off by default so Telex “dd” produces “đ”.
  • AutoRecovery information is saved every 3 minutes instead of every 10.
  • If the application closes unexpectedly, Windows writes a crash dump to %LOCALAPPDATA%\MORA Office\crash. The dump stays on your machine; nothing is sent anywhere.
  • The Windows taskbar shows a distinct icon for Doc, Sheet, Slide and PDF; the old Standard and Formatting toolbars are hidden now that the ribbon replaces them.
  • License and advertisement dialogs: closable with Esc or X once the countdown ends, no advertisement on a recovered document, correct Tab order, no duplicated product name in the title, and a fix for tokens containing a plus sign when downloading certificates.
  • Help ▸ Send Feedback opens the new feedback portal at phanhoi.mora.vn.

Version 26.8.8 — 25 September 2026

  • Rebranding: O3O Office is now MORA Office, with four apps: MORA Doc, MORA Sheet, MORA Slide and MORA PDF. Publisher: MORA Technology JSC (MORA Tech JSC).
  • New MORA interface: flat tab row underlined in each app's colour, ribbon on a rounded white card, clear group labels, title bar and status bar in the app colour, matching dark mode.
  • Reorganised ribbons in all four apps, every group labelled. The ↘ button at a group corner (Font, Paragraph, Styles, Page setup…) opens the full dialog; in narrow windows groups collapse into named buttons.
  • New on the tab row: Search (Alt+Q) to find any command, even typed without Vietnamese accents; AutoSave switch; account button that opens the License dialog; collapse the ribbon with the ˄ button or by double-clicking a tab.
  • New consistent icon set in light and dark; Plus Jakarta Sans for the ribbon and status bar.
  • Window titles now read "Document 1 - MORA Doc".
  • Vietnamese interface now defaults to Vietnamese locale, A4 paper and centimetres.
  • The installer detects and removes old O3O Office installations without touching any LibreOffice already installed. User profiles and activated licenses are kept. Installs to thư mục Program Files\MORA Office.
  • Fixed "Check for Updates" always reporting the latest version: from this release you are notified when a new version is available.

Version 26.8.6 — 15 September 2026

  • Free-edition ad: the skip delay is set centrally by o3o.vn and applies to every computer, including offline.
  • Feedback page: company single sign-on, AI assistant that replies and awards stars automatically, weekly Bingo tickets.

Version 26.8.5 — 15 September 2026

  • Save As: Microsoft formats first — O3O Doc .docx then .doc; O3O Sheet .xlsx then .csv; O3O Slide .pptx then .ppsx; O3O PDF saves directly to .pdf at the top of the list.
  • Add-on code: optional code field in the License dialog and on the purchase page for customers holding a partner code; price shown after it is applied.

Version 26.8.4 — 15 September 2026

  • New pricing: 1-year plan 15,000 ₫/month billed for 12 months (180,000 ₫); lifetime 799,000 ₫ with 3 years of updates. Monthly price in the License dialog, smaller QR code, stray-character fix.
  • Free-edition ad: new banner presenting O3O Doc, Sheet, Slide and PDF in the interface language; click the image to buy; explanatory line removed; "Remove ads — buy a license" is the default button.

Version 26.8.3 — 14 September 2026

  • Licensing: live prices in the dialog; bank QR only (no intermediary branding); the user dialog keeps only the key entry field.
  • Certificate and invoice: downloadable after activation; public verification page. Company customers enter a tax code and the registered name and address are looked up; administrators can upload the provider's e-invoice.
  • Languages: ten interface languages with a native-name chooser; ads follow the interface language.
  • Defaults: Times New Roman 13 pt / 11 pt, wider spreadsheet cells, no "default format not registered" notice, one-click Set as default application.
  • Interface: darker Undo/Redo and disabled icons.
  • Website: enterprise landing pages in Vietnamese and English, screenshots, per-application guides, terms, privacy and payment policies; feedback page with weekly hall of fame; administrators see every installed machine.

Version 26.8.2 — 14 September 2026

  • Word processor renamed O3O Doc; Windows shows O3O Doc / Sheet / Slide / PDF in Open With and Default Apps.
  • Desktop shortcuts, launch after install, tray preloading with Windows start-up.
  • Vi / En and Light / Dark buttons on the quick toolbar.
  • O3O Sheet: drag whole columns or rows to move them.
  • Free edition always shows an ad, also offline; O3O-branded payment QR.

Version 26.8.1 — 14 September 2026

  • Licensing: full-featured free edition with ads; 1-year and lifetime plans by bank QR in-app or on the web; key entry.
  • Vietnamese interface installed on every Windows machine; Start menu shortcuts; branded About, License and installer; help links to office.o3o.vn.

  • 2013–2025 · ModernisationThe MPL/LGPL branch adds Skia rendering, 64-bit Windows builds, a tabbed interface, deeper OOXML compatibility, digital signatures, PDF/A export and year-based version numbers.
  • 2026 · MORA Officeo3o.vn builds MORA Office on this foundation for the Vietnamese market: MORA Doc, Sheet, Slide and PDF, Vietnamese interface, bank-QR licensing and local support.
